Two names keep coming up when people ask me which tool to use for AI search visibility: Peec AI and Profound. They sit at opposite ends of the same market, which is exactly why the comparison is useful.

Let me get the disclosure out of the way first. I build LLM Pulse, a tool in this same category. So I have skin in the game. I am going to tell you honestly where Peec and Profound each beat what I make, because if I only told you my thing was best you would rightly stop reading.

Here is the short version. Peec is the accessible, self-serve, multi-market pick. Profound is the enterprise heavyweight you talk to a salesperson to buy. Most people asking me this question want Peec and think they want Profound.

Let me explain why.

The two tools are not really competing for the same buyer

This is the thing nobody says out loud. Peec and Profound get lumped into the same "AI visibility" bucket, but they are built for different companies.

Peec AI is priced and packaged for a marketing team or an agency to swipe a card and start today. You sign up, add your prompts, pick your competitors, and you are tracking within an hour. Pricing is public. Seats are unlimited on every plan, which matters a lot if you have a team or you are an agency running many clients.

Profound is the opposite motion. There is no public price. You book a demo. You get a deployment. The data is deeper than anyone else in the space, and the company sells to brands where "deeper data" justifies a real budget and a procurement process.

So before you compare features, answer one question: do you want to buy software today with a card, or do you want to run a vendor evaluation with a sales team? That single answer eliminates one of these two for most people.

What Peec AI is genuinely good at

Peec's core strength is that it is a clean, fast tool for teams that need to track AI visibility across markets without a big budget or a big conversation.

The multi-market and multi-language tracking is the standout. If you sell in several countries, Peec lets you track the same prompts by country and compare against competitors region by region. That is not a trivial feature to build, and Peec does it well. For a European brand or an agency with clients in different markets, this is often the deciding factor.

Daily tracking is included. Sentiment is included. The competitor comparison is solid.

Pricing as of July 2026 looks roughly like this:

Plan Price Prompts
Starter about $89/month around 25
Mid about $199/month around 100
Higher about $499/month around 300

Prices change, so check Peec's site before you buy.

The one caveat I would flag, and it is a real one: Peec includes 3 models, and additional models are paid add-ons priced per model. In a world where the answer to "am I visible in AI" depends heavily on which AI, that add-on math can move the real price up quietly. Do the sum for the models you actually care about before you sign.

Who should pick Peec: teams and agencies that want self-serve, unlimited seats, strong per-country tracking, and public pricing they can reason about. That is a large slice of the market.

What Profound is genuinely good at

Profound earns its reputation on depth. This is not marketing on my part, it is just true.

If you are a large brand and you need the most complete picture of how you show up across AI, Profound has the deepest dataset in the category. Prompt Volumes, Shopping data, Agents and Agent Analytics, the works. When your questions get sophisticated, "which agent-driven journeys mention us and where do they send the user," Profound is built to answer them.

It also has the things enterprise buyers require and rarely get from a startup tool: SOC 2, SSO, on-prem options, a real API. If your security team has a checklist, Profound passes it.

The tradeoff is exactly what you would expect. No public pricing. Reported enterprise deployments run into the low thousands per month, and there have been references to lower signal tiers around $99 and $399, but you are still going through a demo-led sales process to find out what you actually pay. That is fine if you are a Fortune 500 brand and slow, expensive procurement is normal for you. It is friction if you are a five-person team that wanted to start on Tuesday.

Who should pick Profound: large brands and Fortune 500 marketing teams that need the deepest data, enterprise security and compliance, and have the budget and the patience for a sales cycle. For them Profound is often the right answer, and I will say that plainly.

Where LLM Pulse fits, and where it doesn't

Now the part where I talk about my own tool, with the same honesty I just applied to the other two.

I built LLM Pulse because I wanted the thing Peec does well, the accessible self-serve model, but with two changes: public pricing that includes more models without a sales call, and features agencies actually need to resell.

Pricing is public and starts at 49 €/month. Here is the shape of it as of July 2026:

Plan Price Prompts Notable
Starter 49 € 50 5 competitors
Growth 99 € 150 sentiment, AI traffic analytics, agent
Scale 299 € 450 Reputation, GEO testing, ChatGPT Shopping, REST API, Data Studio
Higher 543 € / 1.086 € more scales up
Enterprise custom custom

Prices change, so check the site before buying. There is a 14-day trial.

The two design choices I care most about:

Models without an enterprise call. Every plan includes 5 core models: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI can be added. This is the direct answer to the Peec add-on math I flagged earlier. You get a wider default view without unlocking each model as a separate line item.

Unlimited seats on every plan, no per-seat fee. Same as Peec on this point, and I think it should be table stakes for anyone with a team.

For agencies specifically, LLM Pulse goes further than either tool on white-label. Your logo, your colours, your domain, zero LLM Pulse branding, a separate project per client, plus a Looker Studio connector and REST API for client reports, and an affiliate program. If you resell AI visibility to clients, that matters more than a marginal difference in data depth.

Two more things that are still rare in this category. There is a hosted MCP server with 45+ tools over OAuth, no API key needed, included on every plan and even on the trial, so you can pull your data straight into Claude or ChatGPT. And there is real AI traffic analytics: connect GA4 or Plausible and see the actual visits, conversions and sales that ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini send you, not just mentions. Mentions are a proxy. Traffic and revenue are the thing.

Where LLM Pulse is not the answer: if you are a Fortune 500 brand that needs SOC 2, SSO, on-prem and the single deepest dataset on the market, Profound is a better fit and I would send you there. And if you are already deep in Peec's multi-market workflow and it is working, switching for the sake of it is not a strategy.

A word on the "already in your subscription" option

Before you buy anything new, check what you already pay for. Ahrefs has Brand Radar and Semrush has an AI Toolkit, both bundled inside their SEO suites. They are shallower than any of the specialists here, but if you already pay for one of those suites, the marginal cost is zero and it may be enough to start.

There is also Otterly.ai if your budget is genuinely tight, with an honest entry tier and real AI-output screenshots. I would look at it if 49 € or $89 is a stretch this quarter.

So which one

If you want a fast, honest answer:

Pick Profound if you are a large brand, you need the deepest data and enterprise security, and a sales cycle is normal for how you buy. It is the best in the category at what it is for.

Pick Peec if you want strong multi-market tracking, unlimited seats and self-serve public pricing, and you have done the math on the paid model add-ons.

Look at LLM Pulse if you want that same self-serve accessibility but with more models included by default, public pricing from 49 €, real traffic analytics, and proper white-label for reselling. Start the trial, connect GA4, and see what your money is actually doing before you commit.

The tool that wins is the one you will still be checking in three months. Buy the one that fits how you work, not the one with the longest feature list.
